I’ve been writing every single day since I was fourteen years old. I published my first memoir piece in Runner’s World when I was 23 and went on to make my living as a freelance journalist, essayist, editor and copywriter for over ten years afterwards!
As much as I loved publishing articles and essays in major magazines and newspapers, I always wanted to write a book. After travelling around Australia in a beat-up Mazda while writing fashion columns, the story presented itself.
But when I sat down to write the book (which became Love & Other U-Turns) – I didn’t really know where to start! Instead, I mapped myself a process like I was planning a trip around the world. I made myself a guide-map so that I could write that first draft in LESS than three months.
It was over 100 000 words long!
I want to show you how I did it.
In my 90 Day Memoir Guide I’ll give you the 3 essential pieces of the puzzle you need to cover if you’re going to write a compelling true tale and get that draft down so you can tick this book dream off your bucket list and create a precious, lasting legacy.
